Since H.O.R.S.E poker isn't an actual poker game, just a format, the most important strategies are specific to the various poker games that make up H.O.R.S.E. There are however some non-game strategies you can use that come into play when playing HORSE poker. For example, as in most games but even more crucial in HORSE is studying your opponents and taking notes. Learning to recognize how each player plays each of the five games is an important part of a successful HORSE poker strategy. Finding their weaknesses and exploiting them is what HORSE poker is all about. You are pitting your combined skill at all five games against that of your opponents. This web site contains several articles that will help you understand the subtleties of H.O.R.S.E poker.

Strategy Articles For Specific Poker Games
This web site wouldn't be very helpful if it didn't include strategy articles for all of the games included in H.O.R.S.E poker and other mixed poker games. We also provide guides on how to play each of these poker games. This section only covers poker games. For casino game rules check out the huge selection at the 32 Red Casino. You can also check out this omni casino bonus offer. The links below will take you to our game strategy and game rules articles. I have included rules and strategy articles for other mixed poker games as well incase you wanted to try your luck at something different.
Different players at different stakes
H.O.R.S.E poker players are typically the best players found on the poker room. It takes an experienced player to last long at the HORSE tables. As you move up in stakes the skill level of the competition will undoubtedly increase. That's nothing new though as it holds true for all poker games but it is especially true for H.O.R.S.E so that is something you should be aware of.
Different Poker Room, Different Players
Another thing to keep in mind is the different types of HORSE poker players you will find at different poker rooms. I have found that Full Tilt Poker is generally the home of the weakest HORSE players. Granted this isn't always true and I don't have any statistics to back up my claim but I think every poker player, at least on a subconscious level, recognizes that certain poker rooms have weaker players. Its more of a gut feeling that an exact science. In a recent blog post I wrote an article about the different types of H.O.R.S.E poker players appropriately titled "The Stable". It is a good read if you want to learn how to classify HORSE poker players.
