• Submit Your Custom Poker Game Contest

I am running petition/poll to find out which card game my readers would like to see at their favorite online poker room. I will compile the results and submit this information to several of the top online poker rooms. There is no guarantee that they will add the new game to their lineup but it never hurts to try. The two poker rooms I have a good relationship with are Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker. I will definitely submit the request to both of these rooms. If the poker room agrees to add your game to their lineup you will win $50 plus a copy of Doyle Brunson’s Super System 2. This contest will be running until June 21st.  In addition to unique poker games this can also include mixed game variants.

    Game Requirements

    1. It must be a game that can be played with 2-10 players but the minimum number of players must be four or more.
    2. The game must but somewhat easy to follow or no poker room will add it.
    3. It must be a game in which you make bets based on the value of your cards.
    4. The game must be short in nature, no more than 5 minutes to finish a hand.

I could probably come up with a million other common sense requirements but I’m sure you guys are smart enough to know what will work and what won’t.

    My Game Submission

Name of the game: It is very similar to Iron Cross Poker.

    Number of Players: 2-10

Iron Cross poker is akin to Texas Holdem and Omaha Poker. Here are the rules:

Step 1. Each player gets dealt 4 hole cards, just like in Omaha Poker.

Step 2. The dealer deals five community cards in the shape of a cross. These are dealt face down. Below is an image.

    ironcross

Step 3.  After players receive their hole cards there will be a bet.

Step 4. After the bet the dealer will flip the #1 card.

    Step 5. Another bet

Step 6. The dealer will flip the #2 card

    Step 7. Another bet

Step 8. The dealer will flip the #3 card

    Step 9. Another bet

Step 10. The dealer will flip the #4 card

    Step 11. Another bet

Step 12. The dealer will flip the center card, card #5.

Game Objective - The objective of this game is to make the best five card hand using your 4 hole cards and either the 3 cards going up &down or the 3 cards going left to right. So basically you can either use the cards numbered  1,5,3 or  2,5,4.

You can use any combination of your hole cards and either the cards going across or up and down. If you want to use all four hole cards and one community card that is fine. If you want to use 3 community cards and two hole cards that works also.

This game uses standard hand rankings just like Texas Holdem and Omaha.
