  • Poker Motivational Clips (Battle Scenes)

    poker motivationThis post isn’t related to mixed poker games really but everyone needs some motivation/inspiration from time to time. Playing poker is a lot like being in a fight. If you go into it without a lot of confidence you will likely lose. I have a little routine I like to do before I play a session of H.O.R.S.E poker, or ay other form of poker for that matter. I watch clips of movies that I call “powerful”, although that is probably not the proper word. These clips motivate me to take on the world. I don’t recall ever embedding a Youtube clip on one of my blogs and I’m not sure if they will all start at once which is annoying so I will just provide some links. If you are a guy and you like battle movies I can guarantee you that you will feel ready to dominate the poker tables, and life in general, after watching these clips.

    1. Charge of Rohan in the Return of the King – This is one of the greatest battle scenes ever made. The speech is awesome as well.

    2. Last part of the battle for Helms Deep - This one is also truly inspirational. I’ve watched it a million times and it never gets old.

    3. Battle speech at the end of 300 – This is just a speech and there are some really great battle scenes in the movie but this part really motivates me.

    4. President’s speech in Independence Day – This one is a real tear jerker for me. Maybe its because I’m an American but I just can’t help it.

    5. William Wallance’s speech in Braveheart – This clip is perfect when you want to forget about bankroll management and play in a tournament that is way out of your league.

    6. Battle of Dagorlad (Fellowship of the Ring) – This doesn’t motivate me so much but I like it anyway.

    If you just watched all of these clips you should be ready to take on the competition. I’m not really sure what motivates women so sorry ladies. I suppose some Sex and the City clips would do but I’m not going to get into that. Well anyway, I hope you guys enjoy these clips and they inspire you to win some money at the tables, just not mine!
