Full Tilt Poker VIP Program Overview

The Full Tilt Poker VIP program is based on Full Tilt Points, also referred to as FTPs. This is Full Tilt’s way of giving back to loyal players who choose FT as their online poker home and favorite online poker site. Full Tilt lets players use their points to buy into tournaments and redeem them for merchandise at the Full Tilt Poker Store. To earn FTPs, simply play real money poker at raked ring games and multi-table and sit & go tournament events online at Full Tilt. Full Tilt Poker offers a huge variety of mixed poker games such and H.O.R.S.E poker. They are also the only poker room to offer H.A. poker and the new 7-Game Mix. Read this Full Tilt Poker review for more info on the game variety at Full Tilt Poker.
The review also provides information on our special bonus promotion at Full Tilt. Players that use one of our links to visit Full Tilt and enters our special referral code (HORSE600) during sign-up will receive the following:
- 100% match bonus up to $600
- Admission into the weekly $500 PokerNews private freerolls
In ring games, also called cash games, for every dollar that is raked from a pot that you were dealt into, you will receive 1 FTP. For instance, if a $2 rake is taken, all players who were dealt cards will earn 2 FTPs. Partial point values are awarded for the change that is taken as rake as well. For example, if $2.25 is taken in rake, all players dealt into the hand will get 2.25 points. If only $0.25 cents was raked, 0.25 FTPs would be rewarded. There is a 3-point max that can be earned on each hand.
In tournaments, each dollar that is paid in tournament fees, in both multi-table and sit & go tournaments, will earn 7 FTPs, and there is no maximum amount of points you can earn for tournament fees. For instance, if you join a tournamnet with a buy-in of $20 and a tournament fee of $2, you would earn 14 FTPs. A $200 + $16 tournmanet buy-in would reward you with 112 FTPs.
All points are credited to players at the end of a hand or when a tournament is finished.
Full Tilt Points are very valuable commodities. They can be spent at the online store for merchandise such as clothes, books, DVDs, electronics, and more. You cannot buy items from the Full Tilt Poker Store with cash, so if you want to own these items, you must play poker to earn the points in order to go shopping at the store.
FTPs are also good for buying into FT tournaments. Point tournmanets pay out prizes such as satellite tournament tickets to big-money events and other worthwhile prizes.
You can always keep up with your FTPs within the Cashier of the gaming lobby. Watch for ways to earn double and triple points, which can really help you rack them up. During the daily Happy Hour, you can play at special tables denoted with a yellow happy face in the lobby in order to earn more points faster. Both ring games and tournaments are available during happy hour.
This loyalty program is a bit different from other online poker rooms, in that you cannot redeem your points for straight cash. However, the fact that there is no tiered status system to maintain, levels the playing field for all players, making point redemptions and benefits fair and equal to all players.
If you are a casual player, who doesn’t necessarily play extensively, this would be a lucrative loyalty rewards system for you. Rack up your points and spend them without having to worry about earning a certain monthly amount to gain benefits or VIP status. Everyone’s a VIP player at Full Tilt Poker.
